An Ye

It is said that the Sun is proud, standing alone with all beneath. The Moon is kind, taking all beneath heaven as his children. The Stars are mysterious, an imperial throne with offspring as numerous as the stars themselves.

When the first Star Venerable was crowned in the east by Asyr , he created thirty-five families in total: the three royal lineages of the three enclosures, the four noble dukes of the four directions, and the twenty-eight lords of the twenty-eight mansions, seven to a duke. When the first Star Venerable fell, his children scattered, and over the millennia became extinct or fell into obscurity.
An Ye is a "Night River" dragon, a far descendant of the dragon lineage of Xu, in the northern quarter of the sky. Due to this lineage, she looks different from the eight major dragon races, and she and her family were hunted down for it, as many of the Stars' descendants were.
By the time the Yin dynasty fell, and dragonkind's dynastic rule over the central plains ended, all that remained of the Xu lineage was a father and daughter pair, An Zichen and An Ye, living half-wild in the arid northwest.
Due to their bloodline, they were hunted down by both demonic sects, and the maniacal dragon general "Divine Lightning", the latter of whom An Zichen sacrificed himself to mortally wound, letting his daughter escape. She was nonetheless pursued by the demonic sects, nearly dying in the process, before being saved by chance by a human wandering Taoist called Jiang Yi. The two of them successfully escaped to the eastern sea, becoming family and eventually establishing the House of Jiang, which would become one of the most mysterious major powers in the east.
An Ye's Human Form
An ye was the most powerful cultivator of the Sea of Shattered Stars, just as Ouyang Zhan on the mainland.
Together, Jiang and An discovered the latter's ancient heritage, slowly explored the remnants of the first Star Venerable's ancient kingdom, which fell to earth from heaven countless aeons ago, and eventually with his help they defeated the Tribulation, and An Ye bowed at the statue of the late Emperor, ascending to the throne.
The House of Jiang became the House of Stars, suppressing the demonic sects, and taking as vassals the orthodox ones.
The Star Venerable is worshipped to some extent by the people of the sea, but her cult is not as extensive as that of the Moon, and something she does not have much interest in growing.
